Vintage Kitchens to LOVE! Guest Post

Hello D3 Interior Design readers! It's Mari here for Design Shuffle, a fabulous online site where interior designers share their work and those who love design can find inspiration for their own projects.  As part of my job, I often have the opportunity to visit lovely blogs like D3 Interior Design to share some of the great interior designs I've discovered. Today's guest post is about vintage kitchen inspiration. From rooms with a few vintage touches to those with a true retro look, vintage kitchens continue to capture the hearts of cooks everywhere. We hope you enjoy eight of our favorites. It wasn't part of the plan, but you'll notice white subway tile and glass front cabinets seem to have immerged as stars of this little show. Please enjoy!

With a beautiful high ceiling this all-white kitchen gets its vintage feel from subway tile, glass front cabinets, pendant lights and wicker baskets for handy storage.

A mossy green and red palette brings a retro vibe and a bit of nostalgia to this open kitchen. Though compact in size, it's packed with storage—some cabinets even go all the way from floor to ceiling.

Not many kitchen designs can successfully carry off the look of bold red cabinets, but this one does it in cool vintage fashion. Again, glass front cabinets catch the vintage eye. Hung above the rustic wood work table, a golden vintage chandelier is a surprise element that works beautifully.

Lots of vintage elements enhance the look of this all-white kitchen. Light fixtures and tin range hood add an industrial look to the space. Collections like the rolling pins and antique glass bottles seen here can bring vintage appeal and a personal touch to the kitchen.

Vintage hanging lights, colorful Tolix chairs and metal bar stools all have a lovely vintage vibe that seems perfect for this open kitchen.

Mid-Century chairs and contemporary table are well-suited for this open industrial style kitchen. I love the stylish vintage appeal of the gold metallic-lined pendant light.

Wood floors, along with vintage rugs and hanging lights are great choices for this comfortable kitchen. A deep farmhouse sink with gathered skirting adds its own special vintage charm.

Red and turquoise always seem to pop up when decorating ideas for getting that lovely retro look in the kitchen are discussed. Here vintage polka dot bowls and frilly red print curtains look pretty with bright turquoise paint above the cabinets.
